About Still Mind

STILL MIND offers trauma-informed individual therapy, relationship counseling, and wellness coaching with a special focus on how our unmet needs, misunderstood minds, and past experiences contribute to personal, relational, and physical challenges. At Still Mind, we believe that when you have a safe, judgment-free space to cultivate a deep awareness of how and why unhealthy patterns developed, you can begin to rebuild trust in yourself and others and move toward healing and meaningful change.

Still Mind is a place where your needs, goals, and vision lead the therapeutic process, and where the path toward healing looks different for every person and relationship. Grounded in the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, we combine a variety of approaches to individualize your experience and understand the impacts of the past while exploring concrete strategies for the present and future.

Behind Still Mind

Still Mind founder Jess Benedetto holds an MA in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine, has passed the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor exam (NCMHCE), and is a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher. She comes to the psychotherapy field after a rewarding career as a writer and organizational consultant. Her experience helping non-profit leaders identify needs and collaborate on shared visions, values, and goals has been instrumental in her work as a therapist.

Jess lives in the seacoast area with her teenage son. When her own mind gets too chaotic, she finds stillness in movement and nature through yoga, hiking, climbing, and running around with her two goofball dogs, Mila and Wednesday. When her body asks for rest, you’ll find Jess buried in a book, fumbling through a knitting project, or watching a guilty-pleasure series with her cats, Vernie and Hobbes.
